Koalas (Rising 2nd & 3rd Grade)
Koala - Full-Day Camp
The Koalas program is designed for rising 2nd and 3rd grade campers looking to engage in favorite activities while embarking on fun adventures! This full-day camp takes campers on a journey to explore nature while allowing campers to develop lifelong skills and appreciation for the outdoors. All of this while forming new friendships and having plenty of time to do one of the most important activities any camp can offer—just being a kid. This camp includes lunch, swim instruction and on-campus exploration of the Cathedral Grounds including Olmsted Woods and Bishop’s Garden.

Swimming at Camp
Beauvoir campers of all ages have the opportunity to enhance their swimming skills through group instruction. Grouped by skill, campers learn a variety of swim techniques, practice water-safety skills, and play fun water games.Swimsuit and Sunscreen Recommendations
We are asking that parents send campers ready in their swim suits (on their scheduled swim days) with sunscreen applied. As we think about how to support camp counselors, please send your camper in a bathing suit, this will allow for optimal swim time. A bathing suit with a separate top and bottom are preferred for ease of bathroom use. We recommend sending in a spray sunscreen which will reduce the need for counselors to assist with hands-on application of sunscreen. -
Before and After Camp Care
The Before and After Camp Program is not planned for summer 2021 at this time. Please check back for updates about this program.
About Beauvoir
Beauvoir Summer is located at Beauvoir, the National Cathedral Elementary School, on the 60-acre Cathedral Close in Washington, DC. Beauvoir is a coeducational Pre-Kindergarten through Third Grade school carefully designed for young learners.
