Blue Jays – ages 4-6

The Blue Jays program is designed for four to six year olds who are looking for a summer full of adventures in learning and fun.  Classes are organized around a weekly theme which is explored through many different activities including arts and crafts, stories, games and field trips on and off the Cathedral Close.

Blue Jay full day camps will also participate in resource classes such as art, science, cooking and music and drama as well as have swim instruction daily in Beauvoir’s very own pool.

New this year is half day programs for four to six year olds in both the morning and the afternoon.   Morning camps will focus on academics while the afternoon camps will consist of a general summer camp experience.  The morning academic camps will focus on language study and math.

All morning camps allow young students to keep up with their studies during the summer to help retain information learned the previous year, as well as prepare them to continue their studies in the upcoming fall.  Academic camps focus solely on the subject being studied and do not participate in the summer resources or the Beauvoir swim program.

For parents who want to round out their child’s summer camp experience consider pairing an academic camp in the morning with one of the afternoon half day programs that focus on a more general summer camp experience. Afternoon camps will make use of the Beauvoir pool a few times during the week as well as have visits from the resource classes specializing in art, science, cooking and music and drama.

We strongly recommend that children who turn four after March 2012 consider the full day Fireflies program which is much better suited for younger four year olds.
